A breakthrough for sustainable hydrogen mobility in Switzerland:
Hyundai Motor and the Swiss company H2 Energy signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) at the IAA Commercial Vehicles 2018 in Hanover, which has a ground-breaking character for the future of global hydrogen electromobility. Over a period of five years – from 2019 to 2023 – Hyundai Motor and H2 Energy will operate a thousand heavy commercial vehicles in Switzerland (up to 40 t, range under real conditions at 400 km per tank filling, hydrogen refuel time 7 minutes, from 2019 on the road ) with hydrogen fuel cell electric drive and produce or supply hydrogen from sustainable production, that means:
100% green hydrogen from renewable local energy sources!

… and also, among many other good things: A truck with hydrogen fuel cell electric drive, as a replacement for a conventional diesel truck:
At least 24,000 l / year of diesel not burned = reduction of CO2 emissions of more than 80 t per truck per year!
